A day for giving thanks and sharing with others, Thanksgiving is the perfect holiday for reflection and spending time with those close to you. Here are a few suggestions for Thanksgiving Day activities for you and your family. So make the most of your time together and truly enjoy your day!

Rise and Shine. Start your day with a simple breakfast the whole family can help make. Once you've fueled up, take a brisk hike or walk to admire the colorful fall foliage. Runners can participate in the local Thanksgiving road race.

Time for Tradition. Snuggle on the couch and watch the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. During commercial breaks, start preparing your turkey for roasting and assembling all ingredients and cookware needed for other dishes.

Give Thanks. Get into the holiday spirit and head down to your local shelter or food bank and donate some time so that others can also enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.

Get Cooking! Head back into the kitchen to check on the turkey and prepare all other dishes. Ask family members to assist you with minor details and cleaning when needed.

Touchdown! Take a break and huddle around the television with friends and family to cheer on your favorite football team during the annual game. Who'll receive the honorary "Turkey Leg" from John Madden this year?
