Posted - 02/09/2007 : 10:42:37 PM Canada's food guide has recently changed to focus more on healthy living. http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/fn-an/food-guide-aliment/index_e.html The "make your own food guide" tool is really interesting because it allows you to choose foods that you recognize and eat often, and creates those items on to a customizable food guide for you to print and hang on your refrigerator. Think of it as a little reminder for all of the foods you love and how they fill the requirements of food group choices!
The EATracker http://www.dietitians.ca/public/content/eat_well_live_well/english/eatracker/index.asp is a great tool that counts the calories in the food you eat and weighs all of the nutrients that come from those foods. It can also record the amount of physical activity that you have done for each day. It's a great food diary thing. I use it all the time!
