Hi. I'm thinking of starting a 100 calorie per hour eating plan.
I did this yesterday and to give you an idea of what it looks like I'll list what I ate.

6am: handful of grapes 30ish cals
7am: special k granola bar ( 90 cals )
8am: Special K bar ( 90 cals )
9am: wheat thins ( 130 cals )
10am: special k bar ( 90 cals )
11am: Diet Coke ( 0 cals )
12pm: weight watchers yogurt ( 100 cals )
1pm: twix mini bar ( 70 cals )
2pm baby spinach leaf salad with grape tomatos ( 100 ish cals
3pm: grapes ( 70 cals )
4pm: nothing
5pm:nothing
6pm: nothing
7pm: homemade chicken noodle soup ( 100ish cals )

Total all day = 905 cals

I felt full all day long. It was really a pleasent day for me.
My question is, will light snacks every hour or so help or hurt my metabolism?

Thanks.

Eating small meals increases the metabolism. Try and eat your first meal within the first hour you wake up.

Reading your menu, beware of the amount of artifical sugar you consume in a day due to side effects. You may want to google that topic.

Sounds like a good plan except looking at what you ate, it's MOSTLY artificial foods. Could you do the same thing with freshly cut veggies, fresh fruit and whole grain (like south beach diet) crackers?!? That might help you stay healthy while losing weight... just a thought.

I don't count calories, fats, carbs or protein. It makes my eyes glaze over. Eating well is really simple when you figure out which foods help you to feel your best. There is NO one right diet for everyone. It's very bio-individual.
Don't all the diet books out there confuse you?

it seems to be working well for you. But, it seem like you're not getting enough calories. Eating too few calories will actually slow your metabolism down, you go into starvation mode. Why not add a few more calories to make sure you continue to burn calories effeciently. It's recommended not to eat less than 1200.
