IAFF: Stay Safe
Stay Safe

Welcome to Fit to Survive, your source for a healthier life, brought to you by IAFF’s Fire Service Joint Labor Management Wellness/Fitness Initiative. You’ll find expert advice and practical information on staying fit and healthy, as well as recipes and nutrition tips to make your next firehouse meal wholesome and delicious.
Cupcakes

You can have your cupcake and eat it too! This Chocolate Buttermilk Cupcake has been slimmed down to taste good and be good for you at the same time. See how our chef cut the calories, fat and cholesterol, but kept the flavor and the fun. Send your healthy recipes to firehouserecipes@iaff.org.

Rehabilitation Because fire fighters are not representative of the typical work population, their return to work after injuries can take longer since rehabilitation is more complicated. The ADAPT to Survive program uses a five-level training model to ensure appropriate recovery and rehabilitation.
