Tuscan Tomato and Bread Salad
This recipe serves:  4

Ingredients
2 large heirloom tomatoes, cored and cut into 1-inch, bite-sized pieces
1 small, 2-day-old baguette, cut into 1-inch, bite-sized pieces
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon finest-quality extra virgin olive oil


Cooking Instructions
1. In a large bowl, gently mix the tomatoes, baguette, basil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper together. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes at room temperature.

2. Just before serving, toss the salad once more and drizzle the olive oil over it.
