North Carolina Vinegar Sauce

2 cups cider vinegar
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce or other hot sauce
1 tablespoon hot pepper flakes (or to taste)
2 teaspoons black pepper
Cooking Instructions
1. Combine the ingredients in a mixing bowl and whisk until the salt and sugar crystals are dissolved.
