Basic Brown Rice

This recipe serves: 
Ingredients
1/8 cup long-grain brown rice (about 2 Tbs.)
1/3 cup water
salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper
Cooking Instructions
1. Rinse the rice in a bowl of water. Drain.

2. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Add the rice and lower the heat. Cover tightly and simmer until the rice is tender, about 35-45 minutes. Adjust the salt and pepper to taste.
