Fall Salad with Asian Pears, Walnuts and Sherry Vinaigrette

  • Substituted Sherry vinegar with red wine vinegar. Very good and easy to make.

  • I just made the vinagrette and served it over raw spinach. I could not find sherry vinegar at the local store so I used 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinagrette and one tablespoon of sherry. Also added some extra honey to make it just a little bit sweeter. The shallots add a nice kick to the dressing. Very good recipe that tastes "fancy" - nice for company.

  • I love Asian pears, so I'm always looking for recipes with them. This salad was outstanding and quite elegant too.
