I love Asian pears, so I'm always looking for recipes with them. This salad was outstanding and quite elegant too.

Substituted Sherry vinegar with red wine vinegar. Very good and easy to make.

I just made the vinagrette and served it over raw spinach. I could not find sherry vinegar at the local store so I used 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinagrette and one tablespoon of sherry. Also added some extra honey to make it just a little bit sweeter. The shallots add a nice kick to the dressing. Very good recipe that tastes "fancy" - nice for company.
