  • I'm impressed. I have never ever cooked sweet potatoes before, only ever eaten them once the recipe looked easy, so I thought I would try it. The hardest part was peeling the dang thing...a turnip is easier!! End result, I'm happy with it, I didn'think I would like it, but it's good & I will make it often. What I did though, was I substituted the cajun spice with Mrs. Dash, Extra Spicy. I opted for that, because when I was shopping for cajun, I couldn't find any that didn't have sugar in the ingredience...but Mrs. Dash is pure spices, no sugar or salt. I have NOOOO idea what this potato would taste like with a cajun spice. TIP: stir the potato occassionally while it's boiling & simmering, so the potato doesn't stick & burn to the bottom of the pot.

  • This is the only sweet potatoe recipe I have ever really liked. I make it often.

  • I agree with Dustin, and I wish I had read the reviews BEFORE I tried the recipe. This is absolutely the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten.

  • This recipe is right up there with the most horrible tasting in the entire world. If you are concidering making this for your family think again. If you have kids in the right mind they will hate this recipe and anyone who attempts to shove it down their throats.Believe me my kids hated it. Not to mention wife who also hated it but tried not to make a big deal about it but in the end she left a tad bit at the end of her meal. I would have to say that I would never make this for a family again. It tastes almost exactly like throw-up. The texture is exactly like it and it is almost the same after flavor. After taking a mouthfull of this crap its just as if you have had a long night and you just had your head in a toilet. So in conclusion DO NOT MAKE THIS RECIPE FOR ANY HUMAN BEING. Thank you.

  • with me and my family being vegetarians,we cook with a lot of potatos, and this is just so simple, but it can be spiced up to your taste with some seasoned salts or cajan spices. also, it's easy enough for an everyday meal.
