I followed the recipe as it directed, and the carrots were okay. None of my family liked them, but they've never been a big fan of carrots. So then I tried substituting chicken stock for water and they were much better. Then I got even more creative. I used the chicken stock again, but added a little bit of salt(keep in mind that doing it this way is very high in sodium), pepper, garlic salt, and a ground up chicken boulion cube. They were much better and my family finally liked carrots.
