1. Preheat the oven to 375ºF.
2. Cut the pumpkin in half and microwave it until tender, about 7 minutes. With a large spoon, scoop out the flesh and place it in a food processor and process until smooth.
2. Add the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, salt, egg and milk and process to combine. Strain to remove any bits of solid pumpkin.
3. Line a 9-inch pie plate with the pie crust. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the pie crust and bake until the pumpkin mixture is set, about 30 to 40 minutes.
